California Sunday Font Duo

California Sunday is my warm, rounded sans serif duo: two fonts that work just as well for ’80s retro as they do for Millennial-modern branding. Six weights, italics, dozens of ligatures and alternates, and support for 30+ languages.

California Sunday Classic is a full upper-and-lowercase typeface with soft, rounded features and dozens of ligatures and alternates. California Sunday Flat Caps is its all-uppercase sister—clean and structured, with complementary character. Together, they give you a versatile pairing with a lot of range, from friendly and casual to polished and editorial.

Both fonts support Latin, Modern Greek, and Cyrillic alphabets, making them ideal for multilingual branding, publications, advertising, and social media.

The ligatures are the fun part.To get the most out of California Sunday, it is best to use software that supports Open Type fonts (Adobe programs, Corel Draw, Affinity Designer, etc). You can always access the ligatures and alternates through your software’s glyphs panel. In Adobe programs, you can control which ligature and style sets are turned on in the OpenType palette.
