Learn 3D Lettering in Photoshop

My newest Skillshare class will teach you to make a beautiful, 3-dimensional text effect in Photoshop.

I'll show you how to use your own hand lettering or any digital typeface. You will learn to use smart objects and non-destructive layer styles to create a design that is fully customizable and a stunning effect. After making this one time, you can use your Photoshop file over and over again to create different artwork. I'll teach you how to swap out the lettering while maintaining the dimensional effects, so that, like magic, any new design you place in the file will take on the same appearance.

Molly Suber Thorpe

A calligrapher, teacher, and author, Molly’s work spans both modern lettering and historical script. She writes about calligraphy and handwriting as creative disciplines—shaped by tools, technique, habit, and attention—and considers what it means to write by hand in a digital age. In addition to designing custom lettering for clients, she creates books, free resources, and online classes for people who want to develop their calligraphy and handwriting, whether as a creative outlet, a professional skill, or both.
