Intermediate Modern Calligraphy Workshop

In July, I taught an Intermediate Modern Calligraphy workshop at Smitten on Paper (Monrovia, California). What a stunning space! Wow. I was blown away by the beautiful Saturday sunlight that poured in through their wall of windows. It was the perfect, peaceful spot for this class of 18 to learn the ins and outs of pointed pen modern calligraphing with gouache. We worked with white gouache on black paper, green gouache on white paper, and practiced varying letterforms in a range of modern styles.
