Santa Ynez Calligraphy

Last fall I was asked by Erica of Twine Events to make a series of escort cards on paint chips for a photo shoot in Santa Ynez, California. I didn't know any details about the shoot and couldn't quite envision how paint chips would be incorporated, but I agreed to the project because I knew I'd be wowed when the photos came out. And boy was I! Photographer Mireen Kierzek shot mostly in analog, which just makes such a difference in the depiction of sunlight. The colors are utterly delicious – soft and rich, creamy and vibrant at once. The palette actually reminds me of a gelato shop, complete with all my favorite flavors: vanilla, pistachio, dark chocolate, raspberry, caramel....
