Last fall I was asked by Erica of Twine Events to make a series of escort cards on paint chips for a photo shoot in Santa Ynez, California. I didn’t know any details about the shoot and couldn’t quite envision how paint chips would be incorporated, but I agreed to the project because I knew I’d be wowed by the photos.

Photographer Mireen Kierzek shot mostly in analog, which makes such a difference in the depiction of sunlight. The colors are utterly delicious—soft and rich, creamy and vibrant at once. The palette reminds me of a gelato shop with all my favorite flavors: vanilla, pistachio, dark chocolate, raspberry, caramel.
