For the past six weeks, my days have consisted of #coffee, #writing, #calligraphing, #morecoffee, photo shooting, repeat. But I have to say that in the last week my scattered files and pictures have finally come together to look like a real #calligraphybook! (That's good because my deadline is only three weeks away, so if it didn't look like a book yet it would be cause for abject panic.) I can see the finish line and things are getting really exciting!⠀

I try to get out of the house to do whatever work I can at #cafés, just so I don't forget what sunlight looks like. Today I literally walked outside for the first time at 6:00pm, and that was just to go down the street and buy myself a coffee. (But, like, a reward-for-working-all-day coffee, as opposed to the fuel coffees I'd been sipping at my desk all day. 😂 And then I came home and just worked some more.)⠀

I really love the look of art supplies after they've been broken in with ink splatters. This one is only two weeks old but already has a story to tell. I kind of wish I had saved the dozens of blackened #dinkydips I've gone through in my years as a #calligrapher – now that would make a cool photo! 😂⠀

✨ Reason five gajillion that I love living in Greece: working outside five hours a day, six days a week, seven months of the year. ✨ Very soon I‘ll share more details about this immense project that has taken up the past five months of my life but I can at least tell you this: it’s book #3! 🎉

A year ago I designed this #tattoo for a Classics student in #Canada. The words ἀνδρεῖα ἴσθι mean "be brave" in Ancient #Greek and the design combines my client's personal journey with her academic studies. Now that the tattoo is done and healed, she sent me these photos and – wow! – it is so gorgeous! It's always a cool feeling to see a two-dimensional, #blackandwhite design turn into inked art on a fellow #human. And I'm honored to have been a part of it.⠀
