Workshop Announcements & Glimpses Behind the Scenes

Say hello to!

Calligrafile is a curated library of trusted tools and resources for calligraphers, hand lettering artists, type enthusiasts, and creative freelancers. With 500+ recommended products and services in dozens of categories, Calligrafile is the internet's largest resource of its kind, making it an exciting and valuable tool for anyone who loves and works with letters – from the professional artist to the weekend hobbyist.

I am so excited to announce the launch of my latest endeavor, a project I've been steadily working on for the past twelve months.

Although I am the founder of Calligrafile, the resources on it are compiled by a global network of pros: talented, working lettering artists and teachers. Calligrafile is where we share the tools we love and the resources we trust with the greater lettering arts community. The site currently has over a dozen contributors, including Master Penman Jake Weidmann, calligrapher and writer Joy Deneen, and pen designer Ashley BushMeet our contributors!

Resource Galleries

These photo-rich collections showcase an array of 150+ tools and beautiful products. Explore lettering supplies, books, office products, gadgets, software, apps, and more. Every item has been recommended by two or more of our contributors, making Calligrafile an invaluable catalog of trusted tools for the lettering artist’s studio and business. The images link to places to buy them in the United States, or readers abroad can search for items using the list of recommended International Calligraphy Suppliers.

Our link library archives 400+ links to suppliers, online tutorials, lettering specimens, print and web design tools, downloadable assets, and freelance resources. The archives are the result of years of bookmarking, testing, and use by Calligrafile's contributors – and they’re still growing. Among the substantial archives is the index of calligraphy guilds, associations, and conferences, which is the largest on the internet!

The Calligrafile blog is penned by the site’s many contributors, and edited by me! It features inspiring interviews, tutorials, product spotlights, and announcements about our giveaways.
